The third annual Los Angeles Global Health Conference, Looking In, Looking Out: Balancing Global and Local Priorities in the Current Political Climate, will be held at University of California, Los Angeles on February 3, 2018. Los Angeles is a truly global city - with more than 140 nationalities represented and 244 languages spoken. We welcome you to join us for a conversation across academia, NGOs, business, and the public sector to discuss pressing health issues, both locally and internationally. #LAGHC18
Recognizing the variety of important global health work across Los Angeles, students, faculty and staff at UCLA and USC came together in 2016 to launch the first-annual Los Angeles Global Health Conference. Read more about our vision for the 2018 meeting here.
Speakers from various backgrounds - academia, business, public sector - will discuss different approaches to improving global health. Breakfast and lunch provided. A networking reception will be held following the final keynote speaker.
The conference is open to students, faculty, researchers, and professionals across the greater Los Angeles area interested in connecting with other like-minded individuals and learning more about multi-disciplinary approaches to global health. Participants can also submit a photo to our photo contest.
